We welcome all of the new Recruits to our organization and look forward to working with them in the future. A special thanks to Capt Will Craft for his dedication to the Recruitment program. Without his and everyone else’s efforts towards this program, it would not have been such a success. If you missed the opportunity to join, we will be taking applications again in August 2009. You must be 18 years old, possess a Valid Tn Driver’s License, and pass a criminal background check.

THETA BUILDING PROJECT (Date Posted - 8/20/2008 )
Building expansion complete at our Theta Fire Station. With the assistance from our fundraising efforts and Theta community support we were able to add a new station providing two additional bays for apparatus storage in the Theta Community. The current Fire Station, Located at 2110 Gravel Hill Road, will remain and be used for a training classroom and office area. A 32x40 building was erected behind the current location to facilitate proper storage of the new fire engine that should be delivered within 30 days.
NEW EQUIPMENT (Date Posted - 8/20/2008 )
Maury County Fire Department recently placed three new Class A Engine/ fire pumpers into service. Funding for these apparatus came from Federal Government funding under the AFG (assistance firefighters grant) program with a 5% matching portion coming from Maury County Government. These Engines will be replaced very dated equipment in the communities of Santa Fe, Theta and Mt.Pleasant. These new apparatus will be able to a safely respond 5 firefighters on board while carrying 1,000 gallons of water, hose and equipment to mitigate a fire emergency. At a cost of nearly $220,000 a piece this project couldn’t have been achieved without the assistance from the AFG funding process.
