Fire Response
Response to all Fires outside the city limits of Columbia, Mt.Pleasant and Spring Hill in Maury County. This shall include, but not be limited to, Structure fires, Vehicle Fires, Grass Fires Etc.
Vehicle Accidents
Response to all Motor Vehicle Collisions outside the city limits of Columbia, Mt. Pleasant and Spring Hill providing Extrication to remove trapped occupants from vehicles. Providing assistance to EMS with additional EMT/Paramedic’s to assist in patient care. Handling of any fluid spills that may have resulted from a collision.
Automatic Fire Alarm
Response to all Residential / Commercial Fire alarm activations.
Medical Calls
Assist EMS in response to medical calls. AED’s (automated external deliberator) are placed throughout Maury County and are available to respond to assist in early access to Cardiac Arrest patients. Also providing 4 wheel drive vehicles and/or ATV’s to access patients in remote areas unable to be reached by an ambulance.
Water Rescue
The Maury County Fire Department is the only agency in Maury County to respond to water rescues requiring a rescue boat. We are trained in search for lost subjects on the river as well as dragging operations for drowning victims. Removal of trapped occupants due to flood waters.
Search and Rescue
The Maury County Fire Department provides manpower and apparatus to assist in searching for lost subjects. We currently have a Kawasaki Mule ATV to respond for assistance in searching rough terrain and large areas.
Hazardous Materials
The Maury County Fire Department currently participates in the Maury County Hazardous Materials team in providing manpower and resources needed to assist the team in mitigation of all Hazardous Materials incidents.
Severe Weather
The Maury County Fire Department assists Emergency Management agency when severe weather strikes Maury County. We assist in clearing of roads to gain access to trapped victims. Storm damage assessment to determine amount of damage resulting from a storm. Provide trained storm spotters, through Skywarn, to provide up to the minute storm details to the National Weather Service.
Mutual Aid
The Maury County Fire Department has excellent working relationship with all the surrounding departments and will, if requested, provide mutual aide assistance of manpower and equipment to all departments.
